Often up to 500 points can be awarded, please check with whom you are registered for their guidelines on how many points they award for online courses, as they all differ. To give you an example: FHT, Thinktree and others who accredit and approve our courses award CPD points to all distance learning online courses but they all award different amounts of points, no two professional bodies are the same. This is why when you check with the professional body you are with, they will be happy to let you know what’s awarded as we cannot set the number of CPD points, this is done by the accreditation bodies themselves.

No, you don’t need any experience or be a therapist already to do this course (it is open to complete beginners). An interest in health will help you succeed once qualified.

No. This is a distance learning course and so can be completed at your convenience, in the comfort of your own home. You will be fully supported by your own personal tutor through all the assignments.

There are 12 modules and therefore 12 assignments to complete in the naturopathy course. These range from preparing a consultation form to questions on anatomy and physiology, how to treat conditions naturopathically to ideas on marketing a business.
Each module has a different requirement but in general about 250 words per assignment (2 sides) is adequate. There is no final exam, the course is very hands on in that each assignment is preparing you for Naturopathic work. You will learn the background to each of the different therapies.

We would not need to recognise your existing course for you to start this Diploma. You would however need qualifications in specific techniques elsewhere if you were also wanting to 'treat' clients. This diploma provides a qualification to advise clients in natural/alternative methods/treatments but insurance companies will require more training for specific treatment techniques (massage for example)

We would advise that the Diploma in Nutrition be the best course to start with. This is extremely popular with people these days and a great add on to any existing qualifications, they would really complement each other.

The Diploma in Naturopathy with us is a one year home study course, it is therefore not equivalent to a 4-year programme. We have been advised that it is equivalent to a level 3 qualification. The INHA is an international association, so they give the course international status, however each country has their own regulations and so we would advise finding this out for each country mentioned.
